Areas of support
As the medical community faces challenges of ever-evolving standards of care, ongoing development of new technologies, uncharted medical discoveries and the rising expectations of patients, continuing community financial support remains essential to Berger’s growth. There are a variety of ways to offer your support. You can volunteer some time at one of our events, serve as a resource through your area of expertise, or make monetary or property donations. The Rainbow Fund
The Rainbow Fund at Berger Health Foundation was established in 2007 by the leaders of the Jeff Ankrom Memorial Golf Outing. A portion of the proceeds of this event created the Fund.
The rainbow symbolizes hope. The Rainbow Fund offers hope through assistance to Bradley Cancer Center patients and their families for uncovered financial needs, from simple things – gas money, a trip to the grocery store or even a family meal at a local restaurant – to more broad-reaching items – home or automobile repair or utility bills, for example.
Those uninsured or underinsured individuals being treated at Bradley Cancer Center can find assistance through the Rainbow Fund when other avenues have been exhausted.
Support for patients in need
This fund offers one-time assistance to Berger patients in need of medications or durable medical equipment at discharge who have no health insurance and very little resources. Berger financial counselors and discharge planners assist patients in need and coordinate the use of this fund. If you have questions regarding the Pharmacy/DME Fund, please contact a Berger financial counselor at 740.420.8051.
