Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a health care service that provides assistance to people whose ability to carry out daily living tasks is disrupted because of physical, mental or development illnesses, injuries or aging. Berger’s occupational therapy staff aids in the ability to perform meaningful activities of daily life.

Individuals suffering from the following injuries/illnesses can benefit from Occupational Therapy:

  • Hand/wrist injuries
  • Tendon injuries
  • Epicondylitis
  • Arthritis
  • Head injury
  • Development delay
  • Fractures of elbow, forearm, wrist, hand and digits
  • Stroke

Services Provided:

  • Energy conservation
  • Joint protection Preparation for return to work
  • Body mechanics
  • Upper extremity functional use
  • Splint fabrication for a variety of upper extremity conditions/injuries
  • Training/education in adaptive equipment training.

For young and old, the rehabilitation services at Berger Health System have helped literally hundreds of area residents. Our highly professional medical staff is specifically trained in assessing and treating rehabilitation needs that vary from the physical to the verbal.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are available Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
