May Exhibit - May 2nd - June 1st, 2008
Angie Carroll & Rob Carroll
Angie Carroll
Angie Carroll received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University in 2000 where she studied her subconscious doodling, searching
for hidden meanings in an attempt to bring the subconscious to a conscious level. Over the years, she has explored these forms through a
range of media including, but not limited to, painting and block printing.
Angie has been a life-time local of Pickaway County graduating from Logan Elm High School in 1994. She is sharing the gallery this month
with her artist husband, Rob Carroll. The couple live in Kingston, Ohio with their two children, five-year old Xander, and three-year old
Izabella.
Though her art has taken a back seat to motherhood, she continues to explore her creative side through murals, party planning, cake decorating,
and community projects like "Pumpkins of Pickawy."

Rob Carroll
Rob Carroll's earliest artistic endeavors involved shaky renditions of Fred Flintstone and Garfield. He always
loved to draw and doodle as a child, but never imagined that one could pursue art past high school. He enrolled as a
journalism major at Ohio University in 1994. In 1995, he took a painting class at the Chillicothe branch campus of
Ohio University. Through the efforts and encouragement of two outstanding art professors there, Dennis Deane and
Margaret McAdams, he began his academic journey through the world of art. Rpb received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in painting from Ohio University in 2000.
Rob's works have transformed from Picasso-like, wide-eyed portraits, to figurative abstraction, to total abstraction, and
finally into both 2-D and 3-D abstraction, which is highly experimental. The materilas he uses now are meant to cause the
works to age with the viewer. These pieces seek to explore the relationship between an object and its viewer and the effect
that impermanence has on this "experiencing this moment" at the forefront.
