April Exhibit - April 1st - 30th, 2008
Trish Ritchie & Terry Ritchie
Trish Ritchie
I don't have a grand artistic vision. I take pictures because it's fun and I like preserving memories of people and places I've
seen. I enjoy nature and being outdoors. Photography is a great way to save a bit of it.
People often say, "Wow, your pictures are great! What camera do you use?" It's not the camera - it's >seeing and learning to use
the camera as a tool to capture what you see. My advice is to shoot pictures - lots of them - and you'll discover what looks good. If
I get one or two great shots out of 100, that's a very good day.
Sometimes I look a little crazy on my stomach in the yard or carrying the camera and a tripod around, but it pays off when I get that
good shot! - Trish Ritchie

Terry Ritchie
I've been shooting for 35 years. My advice is that you find what you like, fill the frame, and hope there is enough light.
I don't shoot film anymore and I mourn its passing. Digital takes some of the romance out of photography, or so it seems to
me; but, nevertheless, I can't argue with the results. Digital is cheaper, faster and accessible to virtually everyone and
the images are sharper and brighter. - Terry Ritchie
