Circleville, OH – November 5, 2007
To celebrate National Pastor Appreciation Month, Circle of Caring -- Faith in Action program hosted a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon
on Oct. 31 in honor and recognition of clergy and spouses in Pickaway County.
The event was held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Circleville, where the women of the ECW prepared and graciously served the
meal for the pastors. Roger Evans, church administrator of Broad Street United Methodist Church, Columbus, brought a message of
affirmation and appreciation to those gathered, while Charles Davis of Ohio Christian University provided beautiful piano music
throughout the lunch.
Circle of Caring (COC) is based at Berger Hospital, Circleville. COC volunteers attempt to meet everyday, unmet needs of frail,
elderly and disabled people and their families in Pickaway County so then can maintain their independence, dignity and quality
of life in their own homes. Over 100 volunteers from 39 area congregations, and the community-at-large, offer friendly visiting/phoning,
transportation, yard work, handyman chores, light housekeeping, meal preparation, respite care, and ramp building. COC is supported by
Berger Health Foundation, United Way of Pickaway County, congregations and the community-at-large. Technical support is provided by the
R.W. Johnson Foundation National Program Office.
