Local Family Donates Art to Berger Maternity Center

Circleville, OH -- May 24, 2007 Artist Diana Yeagle of Colorado recently donated a framed ink watercolor to Berger Hospital's Maternity Center. Yeagle's mother, Opal Grant of Circleville, presented the art to the maternity staff last week. The vibrant painting is of Yeagle's son when he was seven months old.

"I encouraged Diana to donate the art to the maternity center," said Grant. "This will be a great home for it, and it just fits here so well." Barbara Poole, Maternity Center Director, was pleased with the gift since the center is currently undergoing some redecorating.

Yeagle grew up in Columbus and studied art at The Ohio State University. She has lived in Colorado for 15 years, where she now has an art business and displays her work in galleries. She became aware of Berger's ArtsAround Gallery which features local artists' works monthly in the hospital lobby. Artists who sell art at the gallery donate 20% of their sales receipts to the Berger Health Foundation. Yeagle's gift was in recognition of Berger's support of the arts. To view more of her work, access her website at www.rainwaterbrushes.com.
