Pickaway Health Services (PHS) has hired a new provider for Laurel Run Medical Clinic in Laurelville. Melanie Perkins-Graham will
begin offering patient appointments on Monday, June 25th. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for nearly seven years and is
looking forward to caring for patients age five and older in the Laurelville area.
"We are excited to have Melanie on board so that we can continue to serve the health care needs of the Laurelville area," said
Wendy Elliott, Executive Director or PHS. "Melanie has over 20 years of healthcare experience and will be a valuable addition
to the community."
As a nurse practitioner, Melanie has completed advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical
conditions, including chronic illnesses. She can provide much of the same care provided by physicians, and can serve as patients'
regular health care provider.
Melanie will provide history and physical examinations, diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions, prescribe and
manage medications and other therapies, interpret laboratory results and X-rays, provide health teaching and counseling, and refer
patients to other health professionals as needed.
Melanie will offer appointments on Mondays and Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesdays 8 a.m. to
6 p.m. In addition, Dr. Arnold Palmer will continue to see patients at the Laurel Run Medical Clinic on Thursdays. To schedule
