Circle of Caring Council Welcomes New Partners

Circleville, OH -- February 1, 2007 Circle of Caring is pleased to announce the appointment of the following people for a three-year term on their council: Sondra Boyer, Ken Curtis, and Jerri Rapp.

Council members are charged with helping to assess community needs and existing resources to better assist frail, elderly, and disabled people. They are instrumental in developing plans to carry out Circle of Caring's mission, striving to coordinate programs and resources to maximize the impact of the program, and developing a mechanism for evaluation and monetary strategies.

The new council members join Betty Wolford, Chairman; John Rankin, Linda Wunsch, Jim Edman, Jean Howley, Dorothy Jones, Fr. Steve Krile, and Nancy Shollenberger.

Circle of Caring, founded in 1997, is a Faith in Action program. Its mission is to assist the frail and elderly as well as people living with disabilities, and their families, on a casual basis. Circle of Caring provides transportation, handyman chores, yard work, shopping, light housekeeping, friendly visiting in person and by phone, respite care, and ramp building. All of these efforts are designed to help enable those served maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in their own homes. The services provided by Circle of Caring are coordinated by Berger Health System, with support from United Way of Pickaway County, local churches, and the community at large.
