September Exhibit - August 31-October 1, 2006
Jesse Patterson & Sonsearay Grady
Meet Jesse Patterson...
Jesse Patterson began painting as a self-taught artist in 1980. He later received formal training at Ohio University
where he studied two- and three-dimensional design, photography, and painting. While attending Ohio University,
Jesse's oil painting "Gotham City" took first place in his class and was placed on display there. He has also
displayed his work at Deer Creek Resort in Mount Sterling, Ohio and at the Pump House Art Gallery in Chillicothe.
While most of his paintings are oil on formats of various sizes, he has painted a 40-foot mural on the side of
a building in New Holland, Ohio. This work was featured in the Fayette County Gazette and the Circleville Herald.
Jesse has also done art work for the Monroe Township of Five Points, Ohio. He has sold art to Ducks Unlimited and
many other private collectors.
"Being an artist is not an endeavor, but a lifestyle. Once you look at the world through the eye of an artist,
the world becomes a different place. Images and objects become more than the subject of what they are, they are the
essence of what they are in the way that nature uses artistic elements in their design." - Jesse Patterson
