Gary Gillen, MD, Named Berger Vice President of Medical Affairs

Circleville, OH -- November 6, 2006 Berger Health System is pleased to announce that Gary Gillen, MD, has been named the Vice President of Medical Affairs.

Gillen has been serving as Berger’s Medical Director since January 2002. According to Larry Thornhill, Berger CEO, "The change in Gary’s position was made to reflect his increased role at Berger as we have continued to expand. His vast amount of medical experience and knowledge of the health system is critical to our board and administration team when we are making decisions and future plans."

Gary Gillen In his role as vice president, Gillen will serve as a liaison between Berger’s administration and the medical staff. He will provide input on all medical related issues at the health system, including programs and services, physician relations, and the day-to-day clinical operations.

Gillen has been a family practice physician in Pickaway County for over 30 years. He will continue his medical practice at 131 Lewis Ave. in Circleville.
