Ruth Messick was recently selected to serve as the Executive Director of the Berger Health Foundation. In this role, she will be
responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support Berger Health System's mission to provide
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient healthcare services for all residents of Pickaway County.
"We are very fortunate to have Ruth joining out ream," said Bob McKelvey, Foundation President. "She has a vast amount of
knowledge and experience necessary to lead our Foundation; and she has a proven track record of fundraising success."
Messick brings nearly 25 years of experience in fundraising and development to the Foundation. Most recently, she was the Director
of Gift Planning at Methodist Eldercare Services where she successfully implemented strategies that increased major gifts and
planned giving, as well as employee and board participation.
Messick has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Houghton College in New York and is a certified fundraising executive from the National
Society of Fundraising Executives. She is also a degree candidate for a Master of Public Administration from the University of
Dayton.
Messick resides in Circleville with her husband, Mike, and youngest daughter, Sarah. They also have four grown children.
The Berger Health Foundation promotes philanthropy to advance and enhance healthcare services, equipment, technology, and facilities
