Local cancer patients can now access personal care items specific to their needs at Hope's Corner Specialty
and Gift Shop, which recently opened in the Bradley Cancer Center at Berger Hospital (first floor, Noecker
Building).
Hope's Corner offers a variety of items for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and recovery including
wigs, bras, prostheses, books, and lotions. In addition, there is an array of gift items available.
Pictured in Hope's Corner is Trina Whitesed, certified prosthetic fitter, and Marge McNeilly,
Hope's Corner volunteer coordinator.
The shop is staffed by volunteers from Berger Hospital's Gift Shop, in conjunction with Aim High Medical
Equipment. It is currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition, Trina
Whitesed, certified prosthetic fitter, is available to assist patients with fittings for wigs and prostheses.
Fitting appointments can be scheduled at the convenience of the patients and families, including evenings and
weekends.
