ArtsaRound and Berger Health System Partner for Art Gallery at Hospital

Circleville, OH -- November 15, 2005 This year marks the 75th anniversary of Berger Hospital offering the art of medicine and healing to the community it serves. This year also marks a new venture to bring art to the community Berger serves -- visual art, that is.

The ArtsaRound Gallery at Berger will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Berger Hospital. The community is invited to a reception from 5 - 7 p.m. in the main lobby of Berger Hospital, 600 North Pickaway St. Featured artists of the gallery's first exhibit, which will run through Jan. 4, will be Mary T. Allen, Susan Samuel, James Sargent, and Dixie Walker. Violinist Esther Fouts will be providing music at the reception. The ArtsaRound Gallery is a partnership between Berger Health System and ArtsaRound, a non-profit community organization dedicated to supporting the arts and artists in Pickaway County and the surrounding areas. The two organizations teamed up after the construction of Berger's new medical office building and the renovation of the hospital's main lobby. The partnership provides a creative way to incorporate art in the new areas and promote the many talented artists in the community.

The mission of the ArtsaRound Gallery at Berger is to foster the relationship between art and healing by providing a venue for artists to offer their work for the aesthetic pleasure of patients, visitors, and staff. The art will be offered for sale, and artists will be asked for a minimum donation to the Berger Health Foundation to support the continuing endeavors of Berger to be the "best community hospital in the State of Ohio."
