Berger Recognizes Employees of the 3rd Quarter

Circleville, OH -- November 7, 2005 Bonnie Corwell, Mark Orsborn, MT, and Mary Wolf, LPN, were recently named the Employees of the 3rd Quarter at Berger Health System.

Bonnie Cornwell was named as the non-clinical employee of the quarter. She is the procurement technician in the Logistics Department and has worked at Berger since 1988. She is responsible for the procurement of all medical supplies for the health system, and she plays an integral part in inventory control. Cornwell has accepted the lead responsibilities of the Pyxis Supply System, and she acts as resource for Logistic Department team members.

According to Bill Metzger, Materials Operations Coordinator, "Bonnie has been employed in the Logistics Department for almost 18 years. Bonnie is a very meticulous and organized employee and is a resource for all of her peers. Bonnie works overtime to complete a project without question and shows great dedication to Berger Health System. In the three years I have known Bonnie, she has had a perfect attendance record. It is a great pleasure to supervise an employee with such dedication."

Mark Orsborn, MT, ws named as clinical employee of the quarter. He is the laboratory coordinator and has worked at Berger Health System since 2002. His duties include maintaining information systems within the lab, quality improvement, laboratory workflow and processes, interfacing analyzers, and department accreditation.

According to Will Thomaschek, Director of Clinical Support Services, "Mark is very dedicated and hard working. Once assigned a task or duty you can be assured he will complete it before the deadline. Follow up is never required as Mark reports his findings, resolution immediately."

Mary Wolfe, LPN, was also named as clinical employee of the quarter. She is the medical office lead in the Pickaway Health Services (PHS) Internal Medicine Department. She has worked at Berger since 1998. In her role, she acts as a point person for both clinical and clerical office staff, provides training and coaching, and assures procedures meet standards of practice.

According to Sally Galecki, PHS Practice Operations Manager, "Mary is always looking for ways to learn more and expand her knowledge. She has done a great job of keeping the Internal Medicine office on track. Her 'get it done' attitude keeps things going and helps to ensure the patient's needs are met."

All employees received $100, a designated parking space at the hospital for the quarter, and a plaque.
