Press Releases
Circleville, OH -- July 22, 2004
The Church of the Nazarene recently presented two boxes overflowing with toys and get-well cards to Berger Hospital. The items
were collected as part of the Children's Church Program quarterly service project.
The project, lead by Children's Director Shelly Sargent, was called Hospital Hugs and involved over 70 children ranging from
kindergarten to 5th grade. The goal was to teach the children about giving to others and, in return, provide activities for young
hospital patients.
The children collected items for three months, and then packaged them in gift bage, each with a handmade get-well card. The items
were delivered to Berger's Emergency and Surgery Departments and will be well-recieved by young patients.
