Press Releases
Circleville, OH -- July 19, 2004
President Ty Ankrom and the Circleville Noon Rotary Club recently presented a check for $1,500 to Berger Health System's Lifeline
Program. Nancy Lister, Berger's Director of Home Care Services, accepted the donation, which will provide Liveline service for
five community residents this year.
Lifeline is a personal response and support service that provides assistance to individuals who may need help from time to time. The system
offers users safety in the event of an emergency, yet the independence of being able to stay in their own home. A single press of a button
puts users in touch with a Lifeline representative who can find out what type of help they need.
The Noon Rotary Club and Mr. Phil Pfleeger brought this service to Pickaway County. Berger Hospital assumed responsibility of the administrative
and operational services of the program in 1992, and Berger Home Care Services, an affiliate of Berger Health System, assumed the responsibility
in 1997.
There are currently 140 participants in the program. If you know of someone living alone, Lifeline can provide assistance in case of an
emergency. To learn more about the program, call (740) 474-8900.
