Berger Health System recently presented $150 to the Berger Health Foundation for its Nursing Scholarship Fund. Berger Health
System was awarded the $150 from the Village of Ashville after earning first place in the commercial float category during
Ashville's annual 4th of July Celebration.
"Berger is committed to providing the best professional care possible to the residents of Pickaway County," said Joe Barylak,
Berger's Corporate Vice President of Business Development. "We believe that investing in nursing and allied health education is a
key to achieve this goal."
The Berger Health Foundation was established to raise money to support needed health services and education for area residents.
The Foundation's Nursing Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students enrolled in nursing education programs, with the goals of
creating career opportunities locally and increasing the number of well-trained healthcare professionals in Pickaway County as
significant workforce shortages continue in the health field.
