Larry W. Thornhill, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Berger Health System, has been elected to the Council of
Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Regents serve as the vital link between the
ACHE and its affiliates by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services, and
activities within their respective areas.
Thornhill will take office at the Council of Regents meeting on February 28, during ACHE's 47th Congress on Healthcare Management
at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As a Regent, Thornhill will represent ACHE's membership in southeast Ohio.
Thornhill has served as President and CEO of Berger Health System since 2001. Prior to coming to Berger, he served as Chief
Executive Officer of Paulding County Hospital in Paulding, Ohio and as Chief Operating Officer for Touchette Regional Hospital
in Centreville, Illinois.
Thornhill is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Ohio Hospital Association and the Mid
Ohio Regional Planning Commission.
Thornhill received his bachelor's degree in business management from Wayland Baptist University, a master's degree in public
administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a master's degree in business administration from Regis University.
