Community Education Classes

First Aid

The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult, child, and infant emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. This course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, adult, child, and infant CPR and AED.

CPR Heartsaver

This class is designed as a modular course that teaches lay rescuers to recognize four life-threatening emergencies: heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. You will learn to perform CPR and rescue techniques for choking adults.

The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries, and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome.

CPR Family and Friends

This class is for adults interested in learning CPR and rescue techniques for choking. Attendees will learn to recognize life-threatening emergencies such as heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED on adults and children, and relief of FBAO in responsive and unresponsive victims. This course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of the hospital.
